We\u2019re celebrating a major milestone here at Greenspace, which is why we\u2019ve welcomed our President & Co-Founder, Simon Weisz, to share his perspective on our journey so far.<\/em><\/p>\n

Our story started in 2015 out of St Michael\u2019s Hospital, where Jeremy Weisz, Mike Lerner, and I embarked on a mission to meaningfully improve access to high-quality, evidence-based care. We learned about the strong body of evidence demonstrating the impact of Measurement-Based Care (MBC) on service quality, and set out on a mission to develop industry leading technology that would make the proliferation of MBC across any care setting low burden and high impact for organizations, providers, and their clients.<\/p>\n

Since, we\u2019ve partnered with over 500 organizations<\/strong> across North America to support their implementation of MBC, enhancing treatment delivery for more than 15,000 clinicians<\/strong> and 500,000 individuals in care<\/strong>. With more than 3M assessments<\/strong> completed, we\u2019re seeing a 49% average symptom improvement<\/strong> and 81% average therapeutic alliance<\/strong> across all of the organizations we support.<\/p>\n

A decade later, our vision remains the same: To empower mental health service providers and users with the technology, tools, and insights they need to ensure that every person who accesses mental health services receives high quality care that helps them thrive.<\/p>\n

In celebration of this milestone, we wanted to reflect on a few of the major advancements and accomplishments our team has delivered over the last 10 years (and provide an impactful offer to those considering implementing MBC!<\/a>), from intuitive technology enhancements to state-wide implementations to industry-wide educational opportunities:<\/p>\n

Coordinated MBC Implementations<\/h2>\n

In 2020, we launched our coordinated pilot implementation in partnership with the Community Behavioral Health Association of Maryland (MDCBH). Greenspace\u2019s clinical MBC platform has since been implemented across 27 clinics as part of this project, including nearly 1000 clinicians who support more than 20,000 clients across Maryland.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve since launched a number of other state and association-based coordinated implementations, focused on driving significant improvements in behavioral healthcare quality and collaboration amongst service organizations. To date, these providers have seen a 44% average symptom improvement and 82% average therapeutic alliance.<\/p>\n

Accelerating Adoption through Integrations<\/h2>\n

We know that integrations are a top priority for many organizations, which is why over the last few years, we\u2019ve meaningfully expanded our EMR\/EHR integration partnerships and capabilities in order to enable clinical teams to more easily implement MBC. We\u2019ve enabled integrations with EHR\u2019s such as Welligent, EMHware, Qualifacts, Netsmart, and more\u2014with the goal of empowering our partners to more effectively engage in MBC.<\/p>\n

For example, our partners at Merakey have an active integration with Netsmart myAvatar. The integration empowers Merakey staff with a seamless experience, where clients are automatically created and updated in Greenspace with appropriate tags, kiosk codes, and demographics directly from their EHR. Clinicians can also launch the Greenspace results page with client insights, symptom scores, and data visualization directly from myAvatar. The integration also enables the transfer of discrete data from Greenspace to the EHR, which fulfills reporting and auditing requirements across the organizations.<\/p>\n

Setting The Standard for Population-Wide Mental Health Support<\/h2>\n

Years ago, we began exploring how the clinical benefits of MBC could be adapted to a self-guided, population health model. By addressing mental health needs proactively, our approach sought to enhance overall population wellness while reducing reliance on in-person and crisis services. Since our first implementation with Health Canada, our Population Health solution has been adopted by governing bodies, educational institutions, corporations, and more. With average symptom improvement at 19%, and 70% of users choosing to access self-guided resources over 1:1 care, the platform is making a significant impact. MBC Education<\/h2>\n

As with any major change or innovative approach, prioritizing education to ensure all people understand the impact and approach to implementation for MBC is essential. Over the last four years, we\u2019ve had over 7000 providers and clinical leaders register for our virtual educational sessions, in partnership with the world\u2019s leading behavioral health and MBC experts. We\u2019ve worked with experts such as Brent Mallinckrodt, the author of the BR-WAI, Dr. David Clark, who led the world\u2019s largest implementation of MBC across the entirety of the UK\u2019s National Health Service (NHS Talking Therapies), and have an ongoing educational partnership with the brilliant minds and experts behind the Yale MBC Collaborative (check out our Yale MBC Knowledge Hub<\/a> for helpful MBC education, insights, trainings and tips).<\/p>\n

A School-Based Revolution<\/h2>\n

We\u2019ve partnered with more than 20 school districts in the last 18 months alone, and have launched projects that are setting a new standard for school-based mental health supports and services for all students through our Population Health platform\u2014like our Brightpath<\/a> Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) project in Cecil County, Maryland. The momentum for MBC in school-based services is a clear indication of the scalability and impact of MBC across any care setting. We\u2019re excited to see how school-based mental health services continue to innovate, and we\u2019re looking forward to the unique service settings our journey takes us to next.<\/p>\n

MBC 2.0<\/h2>\n

Our biggest launch of 2024: Our MBC 2.0 platform offers enhanced measurement capabilities, AI driven automated insights, workflow automation and intelligence, and a host of other high-impact advancements. We started with\u00a0MBC Benchmarks<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Insights<\/a>, and are actively working on releasing more features to our partners, like Caseload Assistant and more (coming soon).\u00a0MBC 2.0 reflects our brand promise that \u2018our solutions improve everyday\u2019. We are never complacent, we listen to user feedback carefully and work diligently to ensure our MBC technology stays best-in-class and empowers all providers to offer the highest possible quality of care.<\/p>\n

Data-Driven Results<\/h2>\n

The outcome data speaks for itself. With over 500 implementations and 5 million assessments completed on Greenspace, we know that MBC has significant impact on client outcomes, therapeutic alliance, and overall quality of care across all care settings.
