Measurement-Based Care (MBC), the ongoing use of patient-reported outcome measures to inform and guide collaborative treatment decisions, is rapidly becoming a foundational standard for evidence-based mental health services. While national accrediting bodies like The Joint Commission and CARF now require procedures for regular outcome measurement, fewer than 20% of mental health providers have successfully implemented MBC in practice.
On October 7th, Greenspace Health and OhioGuidestone explored how MBC can drive improved outcomes, increase engagement, and support clinical excellence, sharing key strategies for implementation and scale, featuring:
- Jordan Finewax, Customer Success Manager at Greenspace Health, offering an introduction to MBC and its role in advancing evidence-based care, drawn from Greenspace’s experience supporting over 500 successful implementations across North America.
- Dr. Kathleen Kern, Chief Clinical Officer at OhioGuidestone, one of Ohio’s leading mental health providers, outlining how they scaled MBC from 50 clinicians to over 700 across seven regions, successfully enhancing care quality, increasing engagement, and using MBC data to manage high-risk clients in real time.
The speakers shared actionable strategies and lessons learned from OhioGuidestone’s implementation journey, including how to build clinician buy-in, support change management, and drive measurable clinical improvements.
