Lifecycle Marketing and Communications Manager

The Role:

We are looking for a highly organized, data-driven Lifecycle Marketing Lead to own and optimize our full-funnel user engagement strategy. This is an opportunity to join an high-performing, supportive team that is passionate about improving mental health outcomes. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we engage with prospective clients & users, making a meaningful impact through thoughtful, data-driven communication and marketing strategies. 

This role will be responsible for developing and executing email/SMS marketing campaigns, automation workflows, and engagement initiatives that nurture leads, activate users, and drive long-term retention. The ideal candidate has a strong background in email marketing, content creation and strategy, and analytics, with experience in both B2B and B2C environments. 

Key Responsibilities:

You will take on a range of responsibilities, but your daily work will involve these core functions:

  • Own the full lifecycle of communication campaigns across email, SMS, and direct mail—from strategy and copywriting to execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Develop and execute email marketing strategies across the full customer lifecycle, from awareness and acquisition to retention.
  • Create engaging, personalized messaging for key audience segments, ensuring brand consistency and high-impact communications.
  • Collaborate with designers to guide visual direction and oversee the production of email, digital and print collateral.
  • Manage the execution of campaigns within an email marketing platform, including list segmentation, automation workflows, and A/B testing.
  • Oversee and manage external vendors or contractors supporting campaign development, design, or technical setup.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics (open/click rates, conversions, engagement trends) to inform ongoing optimization.
  • Ensure email/SMS deliverability best practices, including DNS configuration, domain authentication, and list health maintenance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Growth, Product, Clinical, Customer Success) and clients to align messaging with user needs and business goals.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of audience personas to support relevant, timely, and high-impact communications throughout the customer journey.
  • Stay up to date with email marketing best practices, compliance regulations (CAN-SPAM, CASL, HIPAA considerations), and industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in full lifecycle marketing and communications (CRM), with a specific focus on email marketing
  • Excellent copywriting and content development skills, with an ability to write clear, engaging, and empathetic messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with email automation tools and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, etc.).
  • Experience managing full-cycle communication campaigns, including segmentation, A/B testing, and automation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to  interpret data, generate sharable insights, and optimize campaigns accordingly.
  • Ability to oversee and provide creative direction on email design and layout, ensuring strong visual communication.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability best practices, including domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), list hygiene, and DNS setup.
  • Comfortable managing internal and external stakeholders, as well as contractors, ensuring alignment with timelines, goals, messaging, and brand guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Background in or experience working with healthcare or health tech organizations, particularly in mental health or patient engagement.
  • Experience with Salesforce and campaigns integrated with Salesforce environments.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards for marketing (e.g., HIPAA, CASL, CAN-SPAM).
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

  • Remote/in-person hybrid work setting. The work location for this position will be in Toronto, Ontario. The team currently works 4 days/per week remotely, with an expected one day per week in the office.

Salary Range: 75,000-85,000 CAD
