TMS Clinics of Canada: Providing Groundbreaking Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation treatment

Location: Toronto, Canada

Population served: Adults struggling with treatment-resistant anxiety and/or depression

TMS Clinics of Canada was established in 2020 by Dr. Leo Steiner, who brings more than three decades of experience in helping patients struggling with treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. The clinic specializes in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy, a highly effective, non-invasive treatment that works by sending a magnetic pulse that stimulates the region of the brain involved in mood regulation.

TMS Clinics of Canada is implementing Greenspace’s Measurement-Based Care (MBC) platform in order to better understand how patients are doing at various stages of their treatment. Their goal is to understand the entire patient journey, not just the final outcome.

In order to do so, the clinic will be using the data and insights collected through MBC to answer the following questions about TMS treatment:

  1. At what point do treatments become effective?
  2. Which patients are seeing the most improvement, and why?
  3. Who is going into remission and what aspect of treatment makes this most likely?

This added data will also help empower their clinicians to better understand patient outcomes and allow them to continue tracking progress even after treatment comes to an end.

TMS Clinics of Canada is looking forward to using Greenspace’s analytics dashboard and will be customizing it to suit their specific needs. For example, their dashboard will include remission, recovery, and improvement rates—which will make it easy for any clinician or supervisor to see the clinic-wide impact of treatments, at a glance.

Dr. Leo Steiner recognized the immense success of TMS treatments in the United States and across the globe, and is working to make it more accessible to patients in the Greater Toronto Area. We are so honoured to support them in their mission of providing patients with the best chance at remission.
