Integration Features

We will work with you to ensure your integration is successful and the process is seamless. Below are some of the key features that we’ve built into our approach.

Automatic Patient Registration

Patients will be automatically created in Greenspace, and remain updated between Greenspace and your EHR/EMR. This will help eliminate duplicate documentation, improve efficiency and more seamlessly introduce MBC to new patients.

Sharing of Assessment Results

Assessment data will be sent back to your EHR, along with insights and reports. This will maintain a single patient record and ensure that this important information is accessible to the whole care team.

Bi-Directional Data Flow

Additional patient information can be shared between Greenspace and your EHR. This might include demographics or SDOH information. Teams can leverage this information to strengthen their outcome data, insights, and reporting.

Single-Sign-On

Providers can leverage existing login credentials to access Greenspace (such as Azure AD). We can use OAuth2.0 with OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, or Smart on FHIR® to support federated authentication via Single-Sign-On.

INTEGRATION SPOTLIGHT

Merakey: Integration with Netsmart myAvatar

Greenspace completed an integration with Netsmart myAvatar. The integration empowers Merakey staff to create new clients profiles, add tags, create kiosk codes, and update profile fields directly from their EHR— which then automatically syncs with the Greenspace platform. Clinicians can also have assessment results automatically delivered via PDF, directly to their EHR.

INTEGRATION SPOTLIGHT

Caredove

Greenspace partnered with Caredove, a referral management software that helps community health agencies reach and onboard new clients. We now offer an integration with their platform, so that any of our clinic partners using Caredove for eReferrals and/or intake can have new patient profiles automatically created in Greenspace. By automating the process, this integration removes the need for any duplicate, manual work for admins and clinicians.

INTEGRATION SPOTLIGHT

Homewood Health

Using our API, Greenspace built an automation to send a PDF that includes the visual display of client results and summary reports from the MBC platform, directly to Homewood Health’s EHR. This integration better supports service providers by empowering them to access all client data, without having to switch between multiple platforms.

IWK Health: SSO with Azure AD

Greenspace can deliver single-sign on functionality for any partners using Azure AD as their log-in provider, like we have for our implementation with IWK Health in Nova Scotia. This creates a more seamless experience for providers and patients using Greenspace by allowing them to access the platform using the same secure login as their other systems.

INTEGRATION SPOTLIGHT

ABH: Integration with Dr. Cloud and Azure AD SSO

Using our Rest API, Greenspace launched an integration with Dr. Cloud EHR, alongside single-sign on experience using Azure AD. This integration is designed to enable a seamless experience for Advanced Behavioral Health (ABH) clinicians by removing the need for any duplicate data entry and automatically syncing new clients in both platforms. It allows for assessment data and results to be available directly within Dr. Cloud and allows for reporting on aggregate outcome data to occur directly within their EHR. The SSO integration eliminates the need for ABH clinicians and admins to have multiple log-ins, while still upholding best-in-class security standards.

INTEGRATION SPOTLIGHT

OnCall Health

Greenspace partnered with OnCall Health to build a flexible API integration that would allow OnCall users to easily leverage Greenspace alongside their EHR system. The integration automatically updates Greenspace when a new client is created within an EHR. Any new or edited information in Greenspace will also automatically update on OnCall, eliminating the need for any duplicate tasks.

How long does it take to integrate our EHR/EMR with Greenspace?

The integration process takes about 6-10 weeks from Kick-Off, depending on the availability of all parties involved, and the scope of customization work requested.

What framework does Greenspace support for integrations?

The Greenspace Platform is designed to work alongside other technology systems, including electronic health records, electronic medical records, case management systems and closed loop referral systems. The Platform does not replace or replicate these systems, but rather enhances a team’s ability to deliver quality coordinated care with its core focus on measurement, client engagement and evaluation. Greenspace can be implemented as both a standalone or integrated solution—enabled via a standards-based frameworks such as HL7® and FHIR®, proprietary REST API or other methods such as SFTP.

Does Greenspace have an open API?

Yes. Greenspace provides an open API for teams that would like to directly build an integration with our system (or do so in collaboration with an EHR/EMR vendor).

The Greenspace API provides programmatic access to your organization’s data. Our API is organized around REST and provides resource-oriented endpoints. Responses are returned in JSON format using standard HTTP response codes.

Does Greenspace replace an EHR?

No. Greenspace is designed to complement an organization’s EHR, not replace it.

Greenspace adds a specialized layer focused on Measurement-Based Care (MBC), enabling organizations to automate the collection of standardized assessments, track client outcomes over time, and generate insights that support clinical decision-making and quality improvement.

When integrated with an EHR, Greenspace extends the value of existing systems by embedding outcomes measurement directly into clinical workflows. Client information such as demographics, clinician assignments, and program enrolment can automatically sync from the EHR into Greenspace, while assessment scores, progress insights, and outcome reports can sync back into the client record.

Can Greenspace send outcome reports back to the EHR?

Yes. Assessment scores, outcome trends, and progress reports generated within Greenspace can automatically sync back into the client’s record in the EHR.

Do Greenspace integrations support bi-directional data exchange?

Yes. Many integrations support bi-directional data exchange, meaning information can flow in both directions between Greenspace and the connected system.

For example, client demographics and program information may flow from the EHR into Greenspace. Assessment results and outcome insights can then flow back into the EHR. This creates a connected ecosystem where data stays synchronized across systems and providers always have access to the most current information.

Can clients complete assessments remotely through integrated systems?

Yes. Clients can complete assessments outside of clinical sessions using secure links sent via email or SMS, through client portals, or on devices within the clinic.

Once completed, responses are automatically scored within Greenspace and shared with the integrated system. This ensures clinicians receive up-to-date results before or during appointments without requiring manual data entry.

Can Greenspace be integrated into a data warehouse, such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI? Or with another system that is not an EHR/EMR?

Yes. Organizations will typically leverage our open API to programmatically flow information from Greenspace to a data warehouse, such as Tableau, Power BI, or to other systems that are not a traditional EHR/EMR. Our team can support this process and work collaboratively with your organization.

Does Greenspace maintain security practices in line with industry best practices and US standards?

Security of patient information and privacy is the foundation of the Greenspace platform. We take this responsibility very seriously and have implemented significant measures to safeguard patients’ personal health information that exceed industry standards and best practices. Greenspace is SOC 2 Type II compliant and conforms to digital and physical security protocols (including HIPAA), with SSL-secured access, AES encryption at the filesystem level, and firewalls protecting all data. We take many additional precautions to protect privacy including: requiring strong passwords, automatic logouts, automatic access logging, secured data backups, two factor authentication and restrictive data access procedures.
