Advancing Substance Use Disorder Treatment Through Measurement-Based Care

Substance use disorder (SUD) treatment is uniquely complex; progress is rarely linear, relapse is often part of recovery, and success isn’t always captured by traditional pre and post models of measurement. Some of the most important signals, like early disengagement, shifts in motivation, or changes in functioning, can be easy to miss without consistent, ongoing measurement. Yet many organizations today are still relying on limited or inconsistent data to guide care. This creates a gap between what providers need to understand about recovery and what they’re actually measuring in practice.

Measurement-Based Care (MBC) is helping to close that gap.

On June 4th, join Greenspace Health for an educational session where clinical and research leaders will explore how MBC can be effectively applied within SUD settings, highlighting key considerations for implementation, measurement selection, and clinical integration.

Experts from the Yale Measurement-Based Care Collaborative will share insights from their work advancing MBC across diverse care environments, including a high-level overview of MBC in the context of SUD, common challenges, and what organizations need to know to successfully integrate MBC into substance use care. Attendees will also hear a real-world example of MBC in action through an overview of the HEALing Measurement Center project, demonstrating how organizations can operationalize MBC at scale in SUD settings.
